Open Access Policy

1. Introduction

IJASCE is committed to the principles of open access publishing to promote global knowledge dissemination and academic equity. In alignment with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and its 20th Anniversary Recommendations, IJASCE ensures that all published research is freely and permanently accessible to all readers, without subscription or paywall barriers.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all articles published by IJASCE, including original research, reviews, case studies, and editorials. It defines the journal’s licensing, archiving, and reader access policies.

3. Policy Statement and Guidelines

All articles in IJASCE are published under an open access model, meaning:

  • Immediate and free access is granted to the full text of all articles upon publication.

  • No registration or login is required to read, download, share, or cite the content.

3.1 Licensing

IJASCE publishes all content under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license permits:

  • Sharing: Copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format

  • Adapting: Remixing, transforming, and building upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use

As long as proper credit is given, a link to the license is provided, and derivative works are distributed under the same license.

3.2 Copyright

Authors retain full copyright of their work. Upon acceptance, authors grant IJASCE a non-exclusive license to publish and disseminate the article under open access terms.

3.3 Archiving and Accessibility

To ensure long-term preservation and accessibility:

  • Articles are archived in institutional and third-party repositories

  • Authors are encouraged to deposit versions of their articles in personal, institutional, or subject-specific repositories (green OA)

  • IJASCE ensures article metadata is indexed in major scholarly databases and search engines

3.4 No Article Processing Charges (APCs)

IJASCE operates under a diamond open access model—authors are not charged any fees for submission, peer review, or publication. All publication costs are supported by the journal’s institutional and organizational partners.

4. Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for adhering to open access licensing and for accurate citation and attribution when reusing content.
Readers are encouraged to reuse, share, and build upon IJASCE content in accordance with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Editors and publishers ensure the accessibility, discoverability, and integrity of published content.
