Focus and Scope
Focus
The International Journal of Advanced Science Computing and Engineering (IJASCE) publishes research that advances the application of computing, artificial intelligence, computational methods, and engineering technologies to address scientifically and practically relevant problems. The journal provides a scholarly platform for studies that connect computational or engineering concepts with their design, implementation, validation, and evaluation in real-world or realistically modeled environments.
IJASCE emphasizes research that demonstrates a clear scientific contribution, appropriate methodological design, transparent evaluation, and measurable outcomes. The journal particularly welcomes studies that develop, adapt, integrate, or rigorously evaluate computational and engineering methods rather than merely applying established tools without sufficient methodological or analytical contribution.
The journal seeks research with both academic significance and practical relevance. Contributions may address local, institutional, industrial, environmental, or societal problems, provided that the methods, findings, and lessons offer sufficient scientific value and potential relevance beyond the immediate implementation context.
Scope
IJASCE welcomes original and interdisciplinary research that bridges theory, methodological development, and practical application in computing and engineering. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
-
Artificial intelligence and machine learning, including machine learning, deep learning, computational intelligence, pattern recognition, classification, prediction, recommendation, optimization, and decision-support applications in areas such as healthcare, education, industry, agriculture, public services, and environmental systems.
-
Optimization and computational methods, including heuristic, metaheuristic, evolutionary, mathematical, and learning-based optimization methods, particularly studies that provide appropriate benchmarking, comparative evaluation, sensitivity analysis, or performance validation.
-
Computational modeling and simulation of physical, engineered, or complex systems, including structural, thermal, fluid, mechanical, manufacturing, energy, and multidisciplinary systems supported by appropriate verification and validation.
-
Embedded systems, Internet of Things, and intelligent automation, including the design, integration, implementation, and evaluation of sensor-based systems, cyber-physical systems, microcontroller-based platforms, edge computing, and intelligent automation technologies.
-
Software systems and intelligent applications, including the design and empirical evaluation of software architectures, information systems, decision-support systems, intelligent interfaces, digital platforms, and human-centered computing solutions that address defined operational or user requirements.
-
Communication, control, and signal processing, including applied computational approaches to communication systems, control systems, signal and image processing, sensing, monitoring, and related engineering applications.
-
Data-driven computing and engineering, including data analytics, data mining, feature engineering, computational genomics, bioinformatics, predictive analytics, and other approaches that transform complex data into scientifically or operationally meaningful results.
-
Comparative and benchmarking studies of computational models, algorithms, software systems, architectures, or engineering methods, provided that the study uses a rigorous evaluation framework, appropriate performance metrics, reproducible procedures, and a clearly justified scientific contribution.
-
Applied and context-aware computing, including computing and engineering solutions designed for specific industrial, institutional, community, or public-service environments when the study provides systematic evaluation and findings that can inform broader research or practice.
IJASCE gives priority to manuscripts that clearly identify the research problem, establish the relationship of the study to existing knowledge, explain the scientific or technical contribution, employ appropriate and reproducible methods, and evaluate the proposed approach using suitable data, experiments, benchmarks, simulations, or other forms of empirical evidence.
Manuscripts that primarily describe routine software development, hardware assembly, system installation, classroom projects, or the direct application of existing algorithms without adequate scientific investigation, validation, comparative analysis, or identifiable contribution to knowledge are generally outside the journal's scope.
Target Readership
IJASCE serves researchers, academics, engineers, computer scientists, data scientists, software and systems developers, graduate students, and professionals working at the intersection of computing, artificial intelligence, applied science, and engineering. The journal also addresses practitioners and decision-makers who require scientifically validated computational and engineering solutions for real-world applications.
